Bio
As a program director, learning designer, and educational technologist, I am experienced in delivering and developing face-to-face, blended, hybrid, and online programs and courses, designing innovative assessments and materials, supporting faculty and students, developing strategic plans, budgeting, reporting, as well as leading programs and teams, I am certain that my background and skillset make me an excellent choice for your learning design needs.
Since 2005, I have been passionate about using innovative pedagogies to develop blended and online academic courses and programs in higher education. My specialty is supporting faculty with the development and transition of courses from face-to-face to blended and online delivery modes. Over the years, I have also implemented a range of new instructional technologies and virtual learning environments (VLEs), like Blackboard, Canvas, and Moodle, to enhance learner engagement and outcomes. Achieving this required developing thorough technical documentation and procedures, creating digital materials, training students, faculty, and staff on the use of these tools, monitoring and ensuring quality standards, and reporting on outcomes.
Understanding and identifying my client’s needs are crucial to this type of work and I do this through frequent and clear communication, careful project planning, and regular updates throughout the entire design and development process. In addition, my experience deploying tailored training and learning technologies that suit your needs. In addition to the aforementioned skills, working in a range of higher education units, institutions, and countries with diverse team members has given me the ability to thrive in intercultural environments, in independent and collaborative units, and to work with and lead agile teams in fast-paced, ambiguous settings.
